I know it wasn't intended this way, but I know some PMs need to be humbled from time to time. Too often, I had to deal with PMs who seemed to have a God-complex, treating their team members as pure worker bees.
I'd like to add something about the point of not being a leader. PMs are not leaders in the means of a disciplinary leader. But you certainly have to have the characteristics of a strong leader: Confidence, strong communication skills, and empathy.

I appreciate that. I can totally see a god complex creeping into a PM’s behaviour.
